How to grow a winner

One endless garden. Every wave is a bit harder than the last, and the deeper you go, the more turns up: new pests, two new plants, weather and five bosses.
Pests march down the path to your prize marrow. Each one that gets there takes a bite.
Tap a raised bed beside the path and pick a plant. It costs seeds.
Tap a plant to grow it. Seed, sprout, then bloom. Bigger plants hit harder and reach further.
A bloom glows. Evolve it into one of two forms. Each form fights differently.
You can plant and grow during a wave too. Speed up with ×2 and ×3.
The Lawn has no path. Every plant and Hurdle blocks its tile, and pests always take the shortest way round. Flyers ignore it all, and Moles dig under. You can never shut them out completely.
Weather turns up from wave 15, about one wave in three. Never two bad ones in a row, never on a boss wave. You see the next wave's weather on the board before you press Start.
Compost from every run buys upgrades in the Potting Shed. Your marrow grows with your best wave.
Lawn extension in the Shed: one more row at the top and one more column on the right of The Lawn per level, up to 11 x 17. It starts with your next run, and you pick the size when you pick The Lawn. A bigger lawn is more fence to keep up, so its pests are a little softer.
Head starts: reach wave 15 and you can start at 11 next time, reach 25 to start at 21, and so on. Garden points count only the waves you play.

The pests will wait. Probably.
